Few Days Left

I finished classes on Wednesday. I decided to take the rest of my week off until Monday to work on papers that I have to write for some of my classes.

Today I’ll finally be going to Odaiba, the man-made island in Tokyo. The main attraction for me is the life-size RX-78 Gundam that they’ve built for the 30th anniversary of Gundam. I’m currently watching the news and they’re talking about Odaiba right now, so I guess there’s some event going on.

Since I bought my new yukata, I really want to go to a fireworks festival. That will probably happen in August.

I'm a c/o 2010 graduate of the University of Maryland. In 2008-2009 I studied abroad as an exchange student at Rikkyo University in Tokyo and had the time of my life--and I knew I had to come back here again! Since August 2010 I have been teaching English as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) in Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture for the JET Program. I have been studying Japanese language and culture since high school and someday hope to make use of my knowledge for future endeavors.

In my spare time I blog, sing, model, and--when there's the opportunity--I cosplay. Music is an important part of my life--I play flute, some bass guitar and even less guitar. I haven't set a target for what I want to do after JET, but anything that allows me to enjoy what I love will make me happy ^_^
